Who is the Divine Mother

As I understand it, she goes by many names, and has many references down through the ages. In Christianity, she is the Mary, Mother of Christ, in Hindu, she is Shakti, the mother of the universe, in Rome she is Cybele. In ancient Egypt she was called Isis Whatever the name or concept, she is very relevant, yet overshadowed by the male dominated society we live in. I think that the dark forces kept her a secret, so that mankind would never realize the mercy that is available. Blame too mankind's laziness and acceptance of everything we learn as children, or see on television. Through gnosis we have learned that She is the only one who can alieviate our karma and negotiate our destinies.
